I had a busy week ahead with a trip to Milton Keynes scheduled. Not looking forward to spending time in the concrete jungle I decided to dose myself up with a generous helping our beautiful coastline
A small, clean morning surf started the day off on a good note, and we hooked up with some friends who had not been to Polzeath before. We decided to head up the coast on the tourist trail to Port Isaac. After an excellent pint of Rattler, we explored the tidal pools in the little harbour, and climbed the ladder onto the Harbour Wall. We were rewarded for our efforts by the sight of a Seal hunting eagerly for fish.
Trebarwith Strand was our next stop. Tucked away in a narrow valley, Trebarwith is one of my of my favourite spots on the North Coast. It has a mystical feel with a great pub on the cliff top, the Port William, and more importantly fresh donuts!
We headed back to Polzeath to witness a great sunset from outside the Atlantic. Sunday felt last like it had lasted for several days.
Immersed in meetings rather than the usual cool, salty water of the Atlantic, I survived the week in Milton Keynes by the thoughts of my lovely weekend.
